I was able to do a lot of reading over the holiday period.  As we begin a new year, a little backtrack to emphasize much of what we all seem to keep forgetting.  All of the ideas I express in this post I will cover in more depth in the weeks to come.  Our greatest enemy is not the massive corporate system that wants to strip-mine the world, but our own Apathy and Complacency that allows us to accept Disempowerment for ourselves with how things are happening on this planet.  We are too ready to accept ‘easy’ quick techno-fixes without recognizing what we are losing along the way.  Technocrats seem to be running our world and the money-making system it embodies.  Extremely wealthy and powerful elites are setting the agenda for how we think and what we accept as ‘normal.’  All kinds of hierarchical systems are hell-bent in keeping us in-line with doctrines designed to control and placate us – usually through some kind of fear.  This includes our educational systems that teach us what we need to know to be compliant to the hierarchy’s designs.  The monetary rich get ever more richer and the monetary poor get poorer – all by design in formation of a new feudal world system we’re being bamboozled to accept.  The world gets more polluted and less hospitable to all life, and we act like that is OK.  Globally, we express more hate, exhibit more violence, and become more separated and isolationist from each other and every other species on this planet. Most of us know that this doesn’t feel right but we do it anyway – the indoctrination and acceptance of beliefs that do not really make sense but in which we have been raised to accept like sacred cows dominate our thinking.  Judgement about everything and everybody that doesn’t match our rigid belief systems sets us against each other while the ‘elites’ rub their hands in glee at how we do their bidding without even being asked anymore because we are so indoctrinated to the ‘program.’  The world becomes less sustainable by the day and we get distracted by sound bites of information and mundane media programming to keep us distracted.  We do not exercise out free will – we merely do what we are told and worse, want we have to expect what we are supposed to do.  We need to remember who we really are and find ourselves again

Finding Yourself is not really how it works.  You aren’t a ten dollar bill in last winter’s coat pocket.  You are also not lost.  Your true self is right there, buried under the cultural conditioning, other people’s opinions, and inaccurate conclusions you drew as a kid that became your beliefs about who you are.  Finding yourself is actually returning to yourself.  An unlearning, an excavation, a remembering of who you were before the world got its hands on you.   Emily McDowell.

Think about it.  Why do we readily accept that there are stinking rich and that we have to ‘fight’ and ‘compete’ to make it up the corporate ladder of career and financial success, while the ‘losers’ (of which there are many more) are blamed for their own failures.  What kind of a world is this that we accept without any compassion whatsoever!  Whatever country we look at, those that have acquired monetary wealth look down with scorn and derision on those that struggle to make ends meet, or even struggle simply to stay alive.  We have an economic system that we accept without criticism that proposes how we allocate scarce resources, not realizing that most of those resources are not actually scarce!  We give away our free will to ensure that we somehow manage to keep our meager allocation of the resources.  We build walls to ensure that no one can take our meager allocations from us listening to the mantras of the elites that the ‘others’ are always out there ready to take them away.  Fear drives us, fear keeps us in our place, fear keeps us separated from each other, our conditioned beliefs keep us in fear!!   It’s easy to control us when we are fearful.  Aldous Huxley, George Orwell and many writers have told us this for decades.  Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels had a series of principles to maintain control of the masses.  He merely put them on paper.  The elites have known about them for millennia.  How would we do things different if we weren’t so worried and anxious about everything?

Spiritual leaders have told us the answers for millennia as well.  In essence they all say the same thing.  If you are spiritually awakened or feel a great stirring in yourself, you will understand what I mean by the next two short questions: “What is my deepest Hearts Desire” and “What is my unique Genius to express it?”  You probably won’t have the answers yet, but deep down you just know that there is something creative in you waiting to emerge that will somehow make this a better world.  You also cannot think your way to the answer, it will be a deep yearning that you have, possibly in your daydreams or something you seem to inherently know yet do not know why.  While for some this creativity may make money, it is the creation and never the money that is the drive.  If you think it is the money, you are not yet awake enough to understand the new world that awakes us as co-creative beings.  When we work together collaboratively through shared understanding of our individual uniqueness’s we create wonderful things.  Diversity of every kind is our species strength and recognizing the humanity in each and every person leads us to compassion of just of each other but also to the rest of life that inhabits this wonderful planet we call home.  Exercising our god given free will is a first step in reclaiming back our power to make this planetary home a just and sustainable one that allows all life to thrive.

To be continued with a practical focus……..
