Before we get back to applying all this esoteric stuff to living sustainably.  First of all, let’s put in in perspective.  Let’s get away from this Pollyanna Attitude that everything will be perfect if we show love and respect for each other.  There wouldn’t be any point to experiencing this simulation if that was the case.  The simulation we call life is to learn.  We learn fastest through dysfunctional experiences.  Our goal in mastering this simulation is to learn to live HARMLESSLY – that is to learn to live together without harming anyone or anything.  Expressing Love, Forgiveness, and Respect despite the innumerable differences we all have that always, at this time, threaten to tear us apart is the key.  These differences are our strength, not our weakness – they show us different perspectives on everything if we are willing to LISTEN and truly communicate and not simply react to everything that doesn’t meet out cherished beliefs.  Remember, there is no one right way – just many ways.  It’s about breaking out of the dogmatic and restricted thinking to show respect for one another.  When I read about the founders of the U.S. Constitution, many didn’t particularly like each other, indeed, some expressed animosity towards each other.  But one thing they did share was respect and a willingness to listen and discuss what was important to the common good.

There is a great tendency from the ‘New Age’ movement as it appropriates new beliefs and eastern philosophies that only positivity is supposed to be right.  The idea that sadness and isolation is wrong is denying what is happening.  It isn’t correct to deny any feeling, even negative feelings.  They are what they are.  Rather than suppressing a ‘negative’ feeling, accept it.  Notice it, and then observe why you are having that feeling.  Just observe it, and observe what brought it about.  There are NO wrong feelings.   If someone created that feeling in you, then you should tell them you feel hurt by whatever it was they said or did.  The learning can heal both sides if they acknowledge such harm may have occurred.  There may be wrong actions that hurt people, but even those are part of karmic learning.  To force yourself to have feelings other than what you are actually feeling is silly and actually quite dishonest to yourself.  Judgment, Control, and Attachment to our beliefs are our greatest enemies to living more harmoniously.  We compound all of this with GUILT and SHAME.  Throughout most of recorded human history, we have accumulated many rules and regulations through religions on what things were necessary to be able to live ‘good enough.’  Specific kinds of behavior, actions, beliefs, food, thoughts, emotions, etc… were prescribed as the only ways to be.  If you contradicted any of these (delilberately or accidentally) guilt and shame entered the picture and we reacted in ways to avoid punishment.   Guilt, Shame and Fear go hand in hand – it is how your spiritual intentions have been coopted.  As long as you care what others think about you, you will react subconsciously rather than respond with compassion, Love, and understanding.

People talk about meeting a soulmate as if that will be the most wonderful love experience they can imagine in this lifetime.  If you were to meet you true soul mate, it would probably not be a perfect relationship.  Probably quite the contrary.  Your soul mate would want to help you evolve spiritually and to do that you need a unique ‘experience’ that is different from the spirit world experiences where Love surrounds you all the time.  A loving soul would want you to go through a harsh experience so that you might break an addiction to a way of reacting to similar situations.  When you are able to consciously consider the consequence of every thought, word, or deed, before and after it has occurred, you are in that place of inner peace.  When you create acts of kindness despite the apparent ugliness that surrounds a situation, you express your innate Love and see the illusion for what it is – an opportunity to grow.  We have to take a bigger picture of it all.  See life as a school and everything we see and believe as all part of a simulation.

It is all about vibrational frequency.  You are a divine spirit using your physical body through your mind to experience life (body-mind-spirit combined).  Everything is energy (even this solidity you perceive as real) and the higher the vibration the closer that vibration is to the ‘source’ of all-that-is.  We feel happiest and most in harmony when we listen to that inner voice  – some call it intuition – rather than overanalyzing everything.  From that modern mystic Michael Roads again:

“The metaphysical precedes the physical.  This is one of the primary Truths of life.  Some people have problems even thinking about the metaphysical, but the simple reality is that life is first and foremost an expression of energy, and that energy is non-physical.  Metaphysical energy has a frequency that is faster than light, meaning that we are unable physically to see it.  Once the frequency becomes slower – physical – then it all becomes visible for us.  For most people, only when life is physically seen and apparent do they believe that it exists.  This limitation is one of the birthplaces of illusion.  Grasp the fact that first and foremost you are a magnificent metaphysical multidimensional Being of Love and Light.”
